Chain 4 is a strategic scoring game where combos and planning ahead are key to victory!
The Goal
Be the first player to reach 10 points
The Basic Rules

Place your mark
Click any empty square on the 5×5 grid to place your

Score with 4 in a row
Get 4 of your marks in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to score points!
3
Markers disappear
When you score, the 3 oldest markers from your winning line automatically disappear, keeping the game dynamic
4
Extra turn bonus
After scoring, you get an extra turn! Keep the combo going if you can.
Scoring System
Chain 4 uses triangular scoring to reward combo chains:
3rd combo
+6 points = INSTANT WIN!
4th combo (rare)
+10 points
The combo resets when you don't score on your turn. Build those combos to win faster!
Strategy Tips
- Plan ahead! Removing the oldest 3 markers can set up your next move
- Build multiple potential 4-in-a-row threats at once
- Block your opponent's scoring opportunities
- A 3-combo chain wins instantly - defend against it!
- Sometimes it's better to break your combo to block your opponent
